Phil Barton
Phil Barton moved to Nashville eight years ago from Sydney Australia, he now writes for Liz Rose Music.
His songs have been recorded by Lee Brice, Sara Evans, David Nail, Dustin Lynch, Cassadee Pope, Jana Kramer, Mickey Guyton, Kristian Bush, Tate Stevens. He had his first #1 Billboard song with the Lee Brice hit "A Woman Like You", the song went platinum with over 1.8 million downloads, and won him a precious NSAI Award for "One of the Ten songs I Wish I'd Written" that year, and he was also awarded "Breakthrough Songwriter" of the year in the Music Row awards alongside his co-writer Johnny Bulford.
His songs have also Canadian Country Charts with five top ten songs with Canadian acts Chad Brownlee, Tim Hicks, High Valley and Doc Walker, and his music has appeared in full length features like "Sicario", and television shows like "Nashville".
He was a member of the children's music band "The Flower Pot Gang" and wrote and produced 87 children's music records for the ABC Kids Music Label.
Over his career he has had over 800 songs recorded on country, children's and pop records across the world.
